Welcome to St.Laurence Golf
In 1996 opened nine holes and was added by additional nine holes in 2002 to become an eighteen hole course, Pyhä Lauri.
Pyhä Lauri course has been the venue for both Finnish Golf Tour (now Finnish Tour) and the Finnish Open in 2006. 2008 holes 5-13 were part of the Challenge Tour course (rest of the holes were from the Kalkki-Petteri course).
The course is situated between patches of forest and water hazards. A kiosk, Laurin maja, is situated between holes 11 and 12 (the course does not visit the clubhouse after 9 holes).
Golf Digest ranked Pyhä Lauri´s course management and condition as the 15th best in Finland. Greens layout and condition was ranked 17thin Finland in 2009.
Course record from the black tees is 64 made by Niklas Virta from EGS.
Pyhä Lauri was designed by Kosti Kuronen. In 2007 it was ranked by Golf Digest as the best course in Finland designed by a Finnish designer.
Nowadays St. Laurence Golf has two 18 hole courses. The Kalkki-Petteri course was designed by Kosti Kuronen and is the older one of the two courses.
Kalkki-Petteri has become a parkland course where the rough brings more trouble than trees. Also the length of the course from the back tees gives it its own challenge. The greens are big but angulating so that it’s easy to find difficult flag positions when the course has been tuned for competition.
Golf Digest in 2009 ranked Kalkki-Petteri´s course management as the 6thand the greens layout and condition as the 8thbest in Finland.
The course record from the new white tees is 65 made in 2009 by Lukas Erikson from Åland.
